Story
I like many others will be taking part in the Bupa Manchester 10k Run 2013 and for those that know me know I have been pounding the streets for months training. It's a race I have done a few times now, in all instances raising money for The Christie. I have over the years lost many family members and dear friends to cancer whom I've run in their memory and also I've run for many friends and family who are surviving this cruel illness. This year's race is even more poignant, as although I am still running for The Christie, I have asked Viv's husband Sean if i could run to raise funds in memory of Viv - who was one of the most beautiful and kindest person I have ever met. I had known Viv for many many years of being friends through working together and I couldn't think of any other cause that I would want to support more this year. Viv is greatly missed by so many people and no amount of money I raise will be enough to recognise the depth of love and friendship Viv gave us, but it will go a long way to continue the vital support that The Christie needs. I have set my target at a reasonable level, but hope to smash it with your kind generosity. Thank you in advance for your support to Viv's Hope Tribute Fund. Julie xxxx
